WHAT IS YOUR COACHING EXPERIENCE?

I have been coaching girls' volleyball for 7 years.  I am the junior high head coach at Candeo Charter School, I coached club for four seasons and now I am coaching at Fortitude.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PART OF THE FORTITUDE FAMILY?

This will be my first season with the Fortitude family and I'm so excited for this opportunity!

WHAT IS YOUR PLAYING EXPERIENCE?

I played volleyball since I was in the 6th grade.  Playing for my high school was a great experience and I continued playing both sand and court ball while in college and throughout my adulthood.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHAT STATES HAVE YOU LIVED IN?

I am a 4th generation Arizona native!

ARE YOU MARRIED? DO YOU HAVE ANY KIDS?

I am married to a sports enthusiast.  I have 3 children and 2 stepchildren.  My oldest daughter, Hannah, has played volleyball since she was in the third grade and currently plays for Fortitude on the 16UA team!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?

Mexican food is amazing!  Chips and Salsa is the yummiest munchy ever!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COFFEE DRINK?

My favorite coffee dring has to be an American Eagle from Dutch Bros and a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.  Yummy!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH? (OTHER THAN VOLLEYBALL)

Since my husband always has some kind of sport's game on T.V. I have viewed many, however, my favorite games to watch are the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Cardinals.  Since I am an ASU alumni, watching a few Sundevil basketball and football games are enjoyable to watch as well.

WHAT DO YOU DO BESIDES VOLLEYBALL?

I work full time as a fifth-grade teacher for Legacy Traditional Schools and stay very busy being a mother of five children so needless to say, I don't have a lot of downtime.  I enjoy most things that require being active and outdoors.  One of my most relaxing thing to do is to travel two miles north to stay at my parent's cabin in Happy Jack, AZ.  I sure do love it up there!  I also love going to the movies and watching those sports games on T.V.

WHY DO YOU LOVE VOLLEYBALL?

I love the life lessons that coaches are able to instill in volleyball players both on and off the court and I find it to be a tremendous privilege to work with amazing athletes year after year. I enjoy setting a foundation that encourages teamwork, individuality, and reliability.  I care about each player as a person first and will work hard to help them fulfill their volleyball dreams for their future!  Volleyball is such a competitive and growing sport for our youth and I'm am thankful and proud to be a part of it season after season, both as a mother and as a coach!
